My grandparents & I went to Bugis at 4am.Praying to the gods on New Year's day has already been a tradition to thousands and thousands of devotees. Top & bottom:Kuan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple

This temple is located at Waterloo Street.It is a well-known and popular temple to many local devotees of the deity Kuan Yin,the Chinese Goddess of Mercy,also believed to be a manifestation of the Boddhisattva Avalokitesvara.

Bottom: Sri Krishnan Temple

It was built in1870 and is one of the oldest temples in Singapore.The shrine for Lord Krishna was initiately set up under a Banyan tree but as the congregration grew,so did the temple (later).
