Chinese Medicine

I've since started on my chinese prescriptions for about 3 weeks. The first 2 weeks, I didn't notice any difference but come the 3rd week, my insomnia is like totally gone! I slept nearly the day through sunday and even weekdays, I slept at 9pm! 9pm okays!!! During weekdays, I usually sleep at between 3-5am. Now, after more than 12 hours of sleep, I still feel sleepy.

The wonders of chinese medicine. Previously took various types of western medicine but were all of no use! All the doctors said those medicines make me sleep but all were bullshit. Instead, they kept me awake or make me more alert. Even sleeping pills kept me awake! What the heck right? Who believe me? Nobody. Except if you witnessed for yourself that I became more alert/awake after the medicine...

Chinese medicine is slightly more expensive I think but I feel that they are better for the body as they are more natural. If you don't feel well or have a long term illness, why not try seeing a chinese physician? My illness was sort of liver stagnation.

I am gonna spent this coming weekend sleeping to my heart's content. For all the sleep that I've missed out for the past few years...

Boiled barley water for the 2nd night. While eating the barley bits, i thought back to secondary days. Ah mak used to boiled barley water once in a while, I usually eat the barley bits only. I would scoop them into a medium sized bowl and nommed on it while watching the television programme. Once, I scooped a bowl of barley bits, took a bite and spat out. It wasn't cooked throughly. I asked my ah mak, she said No One eats the barley bits so don't need to boil for so long.

She doesn't even know that i love to eat the barley bits...

Met a pervert/crazy boy this morning. I was using my hp and he stopped on my track to talk to me. I thought it was someone I knew, but no.
He was short, in dirty school uniform, pants unzipped and lost.
First thing he said to me was:" Miss, if my iphone lost, how har?"

He: "Can you speak mandarin?"
Me:"Yes (nods)."
He asked alot of questions while eyeing my hp, I got abit frightened and kept my hp in my pocket. Anyway, he kept telling his 'iphone', his 'iphone'...I hate it lah.Iphone is a mobile phone / handphone, why the world is full of shit people calling their handphones, 'Iphone'?!
It is not atas at all. Owning an Apple smartphone does not made you a rich person nor a president or anything!! Stop being so sesame seed brained!
Oh, I was wondering off from my topic. So, he was asking me alot of questions, there weren't many people around but luckily about 10 minutes into the situation, a building techician noticed us and stared. The kid started to panick a little as he started to step away from me and soon walk away.

I am using a HTC HD7 now.

But ever since I know that Sony Ericsson is launching 2 new mobile models, I have been longing to get my hands on one.

2 models, Xperia Arc or Xperia Play?

After some research, I chose Xperia Arc.

Big screen? checked. Sleek? checked. Classy?checked. I Love!

So, last night, I decided to go get it at Bishan Junction 8's Sony Ericsson outlet.

My happiness was ruined big time by the gungho sales supervisor(female) and a clueless/nonsense sales personnel(male).

1) Screen protector - They intro-ed me a matt one, cost $28 but no stock.They insisted that I pay for it first then come back 2 days later (I am buying the phone now so I need the protector right there and then).Super dummy! Insist I buy with the casing so that it will be cheaper?! Like I care?!!$28 each,2 items equal $56 and they say package will be $50. $6 cheaper? Is it even enough for a Mcdonalds value meal? But I only want the screen protector because the casing is so ugly!

2) Refused to let me pay by card, saying that there will be additional admin charges. I am like, WTF!!? So?? I just want to pay,take and go! Male told female dummy don't what shit and the female dummy comes talking to me fiercely.Screw her! Accused me of only wanting to pay $888 by card but their terms are $888 by cash only! I already said okay! Are they deaf or what?? I don't want to walk all the way to the atm machine to withdraw $1000 and walk back to the shop to pay. Waste my time and strength! I am not those kiasu aunties who go to markets and bargain hardcore! Do I look like I can't afford it?

3) Kept me waiting by ignoring me for a whole good 5 minutes at least then took a brochure and point at the terms and conditions regarding the admin charges and 7% GST charge while talking and insisting fiercely to me. WTF!! I seriously don't get her issue? I have NEVER once mentioned the price of the mobile phone, in fact, I don't even know it costed $888 by cash only. In my mind, I am like, I just want to have this mobile phone.Nothing else.

4) Said she will top up the differences of the price! Dummy female still doesn't know what I want.

5) Dummy female finally realised that there was a misunderstanding but she wasn't apologetic and even said:" He's younger than you, 你就大人有大谅, forgive him lah!" WTH lah! What has it got to do with age? I am mad with her customer service attitide, not him,yet.

6) At the mean time, my ID is with them so I can't just walk away. I repeated at least 5 times: " Can I have my ID back?" before they finally returned it to me. I took off. Frustrated max!

I guessed the 自大 supervisor will never come to her senses that I refused to pay is because of her bloody attitude and not because of the price or her new staff.

Anyway, SCREW her!!!

Sad, Because Doc told me that I need some jabs and explain a few things.
I realised that, when the devil gave birth to me and left me to my grandmother's hands since I am 5 days old. Nobody really care to look after me well.
I am so tough. I weathered through so much. I am so proud of myself.

I just watched Paranormal Activity.

Damn FrEaking good.

It keeps me watching.Although the beginning might be a little 'shaky',but the scenes during their bedtime or when they are sleeping seem so real 'cause it was filmed like a documentary,somewhat like Blair Witch Project.Paranormal Activity is better than Blair Witch Project I would say.It's showing in the US but i don't know when it will reach Singapore.

I especially like the 7th Oct 2006 scene where Katie was being dragged out of bed by the entity,just imagine what you or me would have felt if it were to happen to ourselves...

Having an entity in the house is usual but having an evil/devil entity in the house is horrific.

There are actually two endings.I watched the one that had Katie killed Micah and she sitting next to the bed waiting,swinging forward and back the whole day till Amber called the police in.

Was surprised when i received a text earlier in the evening.
From a dear friend,a i know you are there and you know i am here that kind since we have lost the initiatives to even bother contacting eachother.
I was always the kind who needs others to make the first move though...
In a way,in my lonesome world,it is actually a good thing.Life is short,i dont want the people around me to be sad for even one day because of ME.

The nurses said:"oh,you were here sometime ago.Weren't you?"
The patients at the other beds were always giving me those "你是怪物"look and would also asked:"你的家人没来啊?"
When I made a will,the lawyers looked at me the same way and asked:"Are you sure this is how you want it to be?"
I replied:"Yes.I am absolutely sure.Although I am not some rich ass,I just do not want my personal belongings to land in the wrong hands."

All these need only one person to tolerate them and that's ME.No involvement of anyone else.

I need to recuperate.For the next two months at least.I still need to do my own laundry,cook my own meals,change the gauze myself although i was told not to move around or do anything much for the first 6 weeks... It was all so sad.

Officers and staffs at the HDB board claimed that most people who go to them are verbally abusing them or pretenders.
I really think they should do something about their attitide as well.I have personally seen/heard some of them speaking in a string of 没家教 crude words at elderlys who can't even defend themselves.
One case that I've heard:
An officer came to check on this elderly woman because he had received complains that there were always different kinds of men who came looking for this elderly woman every night and would stay overnight in the house as well as create 'chaos' or weird noises. What were the complains actually trying to say?Were they implying that the elderly woman is a “老鸡母”? The officer threatened the elderly woman with
1. If you delay any payments for the flats,we'd repossess the flat
2. Do you know that you shouldn't rent the place out?If I found out,you'd be kicked out.
3. Toilet bowl cracked why do you need to renew?It's just you couple using only.If you're renting this place out,I'd take back the flat. (Now,Dear Officer,would you sit on a cracked toilet bowl to pass motion and not knowing when it'd burst?)

Halfway through a bus ride, 2 workers wearing very creased,untidy,washed-out clothes boarded the bus and stood behind me.Suddenly,a whiff of stench passed my nose!Damn!The 2 workers reeked of rotten,'hongkong' feet!!!
The stench was so bad,I was inching forward with all my might,away from them and I noticed a lady who boarded the bus later,went to stand beside them but immediately covered up her nose and moved to the back of the bus quickly.
5 minutes later,an indian man boarded and stood beside them but silently moved to stand beside me instead in no time.
I am soon overwhelmed by this horrible, pungent funk.
I vomitted, the moment i got down the bus.
A sense of chagrin swept over me.
That stinky funk caused me to vomit in front of so many people.

While waiting at the lift lobby with Dear,a cat who was lazing nearby suddenly moved towards me but stopped,about 5 steps away.
I "meowed" at it and it moved closer to me.
I told Dear,"heehehe!I got the ability to communicate with cats!I can *cat-talk*..."
Dear looked at the cat,and... ... barked (softly)!
The graceful looking cat was stunned and moved away from me.
Dear barked softly again.
The now fearsome and alert looking cat dashed away.

What is it with lady/female drivers nowadays???
They either drive suddenly to the right or left lane without signalling or they drive like the road is theirs!
Case 1.
Just last saturday,
My grandma and i were crossing the road going to Junction 8, the traffic light just got green and my grandma tried her best to cross the short distance quickly although she has difficulty in walking.
The traffic lights turned red before my grandma managed to finish crossing, left with no choice, I gestured to the on coming car to wait for awhile.
But what the bloody hell!!!
The lady driver honked!
She F**king honked at us!
Drivers are suppose to give way to elderly members on the road,it is stated in the basic theory book too.How did she f**king get her bloody license??
Can't she just kindly wait another miserable 5 seconds?
( i wanted to throw a rotten egg at her car, man.)
If she had been looking at me after she honked,i'd have given her the Finger as well!!!

Case 2.
Dear and I were in the car towards Grand Corthorne when we got hit by a LADY angmo driver!
We are at a T junction and we are heading straight,she was coming out by the left.
She even got the cheeks to say that she didn't see our car! and even questioned us if we had came from another lane?!!Then why did the car beside hers remain stationary?
Well,she kena scolded up,down,front and back by Dear =p

Later in the evening,while eating potato chips:

I missed going for suppers, a walk at bishan park after midnight,
roti prata/minced meat noodles at Thomson, exploring supposedly haunted places, cycling, going to the 7-11, having western food at st 22, going to quiet cemetaries,east coast park, watching the midnight movie at bishan and strolling home there after...
I missed the night air the most.It smell so good and fresh at night and as well as quiet.
The stress is slowly building up again.
I need some night activities.

I’ve completely lost faith in all food products made in China.
Even baby milk powder is not spared. Melamine, an illegal chemical normally used in plastics, is derived from coal and is about 66 percent nitrogen. It is found in fertilizer, flame retardant clothing, countertops, dyes, glues and many other household items. When added to milk, it gives the appearance of higher protein levels, even though it contains no nutrients. Most protein tests take nitrogen levels, so melamine's chemical structure is able to fool the instruments. Some dairies water down their milk, and melamine boosts protein readouts to mask the result., was found in a number of milk products.
So far, Melamine has been blamed in China for four infant deaths and illnesses in 6,200 who drank tainted milk powder.

A 3-year-old girl in Hong Kong was also diagnosed with a kidney stone after drinking milk containing melamine.

The White Rabbit-brand Creamy Candy imported from China were also contaminated with melamine. I used to be able to finish the whole packet by myself in a single day ‘cause it is so yummy! Yucks! I’ve got melamine in me too.

I think i'll stop eating the canned minced meat too.

Speaking of melamine which can be found in plastics, there used to be an article about Malaysia’s Goreng Pisang which was deep fried in oil mixed with plastics. There were some unsubstantiated reports that some hawkers in Malaysia are adding plastics straws and bottles into boiling oil and frying it with their snacks, which then remain extra crispy for several hours.

Then there’s this story with pictures that showed how workers in China prepared pork for sale. They collected DEAD pigs from farm owners as it was cheaper and stored them in rusty trucks and dirty warehouse and even used bathtub! I can’t locate this piece of email though all else I can put up pictures of it.

People from China can really eat all kinds of food, be it insects or humans. Yes, humans!They eat dead baby foetus. Here:This actually originated in a few different countries, including Japan.

China people eat dog meat too.

I'm generally a quiet person by nature but when one steps on my tail,you'll see a leopard springs out. Why leopard?You may be asking,because I love leopards.They are my favourite animal.

I've a stern/fierce feature that most people who met me for the first time would think that I'm hard to approach.

So many friends are running through my mind now.They must be tired as they kept popping up in my head.Haaha! =p

GuanSeng-the guy with tons of baby powder on his body and neck.Even after our O'levels,I saw him on the street,still with tons of baby powder.He could help to endorse baby powder sia...His mum is very chatty de=p

Kelvin-from primary school.He's stick thin and really tall.Gotta lower his head when entering the mrt.He's always with JianZhong and sometimes,NiWei and I.He's a gentleman.No matter how we bully him,he just wont bully us back.Often,Kelvin and JianZhong would go and catch grasshoppers/butterflies/spiders and show us.There was once,whereby they caught a pregnant spider and kept it in a preserved fruits small bottle.We took turns torturing that spider.We shook the bottle like mad,while the kelian spider was trying to give birth.We are so bad.

KuYue-a classmate from Taiwan,who came to Singapore to study for a couple of years with her sister,Kuxin.I once tried to bluff her that a tube of beige colour paint is actually a liquid foundation,she see and examine and tried some on her hands before she realised that I'd just punked her=D

Aliff or whatever-a malay guy,I'd forgotten how to spell his name.He has the most astonising ability.He can make his eyeballs tremble!!!I've never seen a second person who can does that stunt.He was a prefect then,we sat next to eachother during English lesson,he always act like I was trying to copy his answers,he would stare at me,used his hands and pencil box to cover up his answers.Funny lah.

HuiRu & LingLing-the class prefects.During chinese periods,we would compete to see who can finish writing the new characters first.Fun sia.

ZhaoKun-He was such a cutie back then.We used to challenge eachother in somersaults or monkey bar in school.

Wunna Aung-Funny and cute with cute curly hair,sitting next to Mark.Sad to say though,Mark has embarked on a journey to a place of eternity.

SeeMing-She used to live one floor above me.We can chit chat while we were showering,in our own toilets.Once,there was someone shouting at the ground floor in the middle of the night.We were both woken up by that bugger and were annoyed.She shouted at the person to shut up 'cause people need to sleep,while I threw a bowl of water at him. Haaha!=D

"Yong" something-Forgot his full name but this guy lived at the next block.I went over to his unit to play sometimes.He lives like a king sia. His mum had to peel the fish and chicken into small pieces and feed him wo...But he is a gentleman too.I always bully him but he wont bully back de.

There's a guy whom I've forgotten what was his name.But i can remember that I once karate kick him in the head because he accused me of stealing his box of colour pencils=(

QiaoWei,HuiYin,Anthea and WanSan-Although they have done alot of bad things to me,as well as accused me,I still often think back of the hilarious moments that we had.Flour throwing, block catching, water hose shooting, bullying teachers, explored drug flat, playing in the rain,basketball, badminton, volleyball,lantern festivals,Christmas,birthdays,sembawang park, shopping,gossiping,chilli eating competition at Mcds... ...so much lah.I miss those days.

CheeLup-Always fetches me on his trusty bicycle.His cycling skill very good,he's a joker and a listener.I miss those times where he fetched me around Admiralty,Sembawang,Woodlands and Marsilling.He rides a bike now though...

Kelvin,Mervin,Alvin and Yvvone-my 1st floor neighbours.Played with them alot.They are like kampong kids,no worries,so much fun.

Alan-Friend in Malaysia.Understands a woman so well,one would wonder if he's a she.Quite a hottie too.He drives very well.I feel safe when he's the driver.Too bad can't be friends anymore due to some reasons in between.

I miss them all.

No more fun friends after my O'levels.Guess it's because everyone has grew mature.

There are more friends whom I'm missing but this is such a long entry already...

I've been tortured by some sort of acute Atopic Dermatitis all over my body for the past 2 months!!!

My skin looked so fugly now(*sobs*)!

Does it work when couples live together before getting married?

More couples than ever are trying to "test drive" their marriages before tying the knot.They're convinced that this is a good way to find out if they're compatible,and will even improve their chances for success later on.

But the fact is,the opposite is true,Research shows that couples who live together before marriage have a 50 to 80 per cent greater chance of divorcing than tose who don't.They also have higher rates of domestic violence and infidelity.

In spite of this evidence,about 60 per cent of today's teenagers plan to live together and "test drive" their marriage before committing.Many have grown up in broken homes,and don't want to repeat the mistakes their parents made.

Nice idea,but they're going about it the wrong way.

The best approach is to simply get to know each other first-to date for at least a year before getting engaged,and then to sign up for some kind of pre-marital counselling.That's a better way to create a marriage that will last a lifetime!
